SHIELD has lost track of a dangerous biological weapon... namely, Dr. Bruce Banner, the Incredible Hulk. When Banner drops off SHIELD radar, Nick Fury enlists the aid of Captain America to form a recon team that can track him down. A group of unlikely teammates are quickly banded together. They will soon discover that there are more forces at work here than they could have ever anticipated... and one member of their team was not chosen by accident. Soon the question becomes not only will the team be able to find Bruce Banner, but will they all come back from this mission alive?
A note about how this story was written: I, Russ Dimino, wrote the first chapter on a whim, and e-mailed it to my friend Mike Chojnowski, asking him to write the second chapter. From that point on, we alternated, with Mike writing the even chapters and myself writing the odd ones. The only rule of this little game was that we could not discuss where the story was going. It became a fun challenge to throw each other curveballs and cliffhangers with each new chapter, and try to take the story in new and interesting directions. What we ended up with was a story that surprised both of us with how cohesive it turned out to be, and with the insights we were able to find into some of the characters. We hope you enjoy it!
